Do you ever feel overwhelmed or fatigued by the number of things being constantly sold to you? Often we’ll jump on to Instagram or Facebook and be assaulted by stories from our favourite bloggers sharing the new “must have” item for their wardrobe, face, kitchen or kids. It’s a lot.
On Sunday, I got out of the shower and starting dancing in front of the mirror – just hips and tiddies flying everywhere. Then it hit me (a realisation, not a tiddy). While I’ve never been in love with my…

Today I am going to be sharing five moments that cover the diversity of my work life and my current wardrobe. Dressing for work can feel like a challenge but since I started dressing to a “personal uniform”, it’s a challenge I have been comfortable rising to.
I have often been downright evangelical about how much I love winter. There is just something about taking a brisk walk with an icy wind blowing in your face that I adore. You may not know this about me, but I lived in Norway for a few years and I moved there in the winter. Leaving Cape Town in summer and landing in Norway to -15 degrees was a shock to my system, but if there is one thing I took away from my time in the great white north it’s that there is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing. Whether it’s a result of their vintage feel or undeniable timeless elegance is not important, to me, these pleated gems are an all-weather must-have. Even though pleats are having a moment, I would be very reluctant to call them a trend, if you want my opinion, they are here to stay.
If you’ve been following Kim and I for a bit, you’ll know that we believe (like in our hearts) that there are few items as versatile as a great pleated skirt. Pf course, if you’re new to the pleat game, it could be a little daunting to dip your toe in. There are 3 recurring questions we get on Instagram about pleated skirts:
